Lesson 2: Top Row Typing Practice
Each finger reaches up one row and returns to its home key. Keep your wrists still and let only the fingers move, so your hands never lose their anchor.

Reaching Up Without Losing Your Anchor
Each finger owns the key diagonally above its home key: the left index takes R and T, the right index takes U and Y, and so on out to the little fingers on Q and P. The mistake almost everyone makes is lifting the whole hand upward, which means hunting for the home row again afterwards. Keep your palms still, extend only the finger, and let it snap straight back.
How Long Should You Practise?
Ten to fifteen minutes a day beats an hour once a week. Muscle memory is built by repetition spaced over days, so short daily sessions produce faster gains than long infrequent ones. Stop when accuracy starts dropping rather than pushing through, because practising mistakes teaches them just as effectively as practising correct movements.
